In the early hours of 15 June 2025, two ballistic missiles, launched by Iran directly hit the Weizmann Institute of Science.

Thankfully, no lives were lost. But the damage was devastating. Critical research and teaching facilities were hit. State-of-the-art laboratories and decades of pioneering research were reduced to rubble. Vital equipment was destroyed. Housing for international students was damaged, and an entire academic community was shaken to its core.

“The catastrophic damage to our campus has disrupted routines, but not our resolve. We’re rebuilding more than just our buildings. We’re rebuilding the grounds for future science,” said Weizmann.

To assist with recovery efforts, the Weizmann Institute has established an Emergency and Recovery Fund. Together, with your help, the Weizmann Community will restore its ecosystem of bold research, fearless exploration and global impact.
